During the 30th. edition of the European Historic Grand Prix of Circuit
Zolder, EAC Exlusive Alpine Club has organized the 19 and 20th of june
2004, supported by privileged partners and with the co-operation of the
most important Alpine and Renault Sport cars clubs in Benelux, France,
Germany, UK, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, a wonderful week-end.
STARC Aquitaine has participated... A little story for a great weekend
!
Friday :
7 cars of STARC Aquitaine came from Bordeaux the friday the 18th...
 
A little break on the highway at 10:30 pm...
Only 6 cars arrived at Zolder in the evening (the 7th
was definitively stopped in the traffic jam near Paris).
 
Break at highway station and Zolder entry by night.
We had a hotel near the Gilles Villeneuve chicane. :
Saturday :
For the weather, sometimes stormy and sometimes sunny !
For us, a real discover of a real Formula 1 circuit.... with many souvenirs
of Grand-Prix of 70s. This track has conserved its old charm.
 
Spectators are near the track, sounds... smells like in 70s. And all
mechnical people are still available to answer to ours austions. Great
!

During all the weekend, the park of Alpine was growing up...
 
 
 
Some of Alpine have participated to the races. Example : the sympathetic
Historic Alpine Racing team (www.historicalpineracing.com),

The evening, we were invited to a diner with many VIP of Alpine, a
new opportunity to meet the people who has made Alpine and Renault Sport.

At 12:00, the first cars started to do the 2 laps of this fabulous
track. It was at this moment the official of Guiness Book has count
the number of Alpine and Renault Sport.
World Record will be soon registered in the famous
Guiness Book of Recods. EAC has established a new record. EAC has brought
together on the track 565 cars, coming from 14 countries in a queue
of 6215 meters and made the most important European meeting of Alpine
and Renault Sport with 605 cars, coming from 51 fans clubs and 14 countries.
