"Renault
will be present in the 2003 season's French Super 1600 Rally Championship.
The programme will see two cars competing in the colours of the Frencg
national dealer network and Diac in association with Market Area France
and Renault Sport Technologies.
The growing success of the Super 1600 championship and the high level
of competition are behind the decision by Renault and its dealer network
to run the Clio Super 1600 in the series whicj is attracting an increasing
number of manufacturer entries.
Bernard
Ollivier, general manager of Renault Sport Technologies, and Oreca chairman
Hugues de Chaunac Have concluded an agreement for the french team to run
the two Clio Super 1600s.
The drivers and partners of the programme will be announced before the
end of December."
Sure, we appreciate this return to rally championship. We hope that this
French stage is the first one to a return to World rally championship.
Last news : Brice Tirabassi, who drove this year a Cotroën Saxo
Super 1600 in French Championship, will drive on of the 2 Clio Super 1600
in 2003.
