We have spoken about it for a few weeks, the rumours grow up themselves...
Now, new informations indicate that Renault stop all developments abuot the next Alpine looklike car.
Here, you can find a list of the informations we have had :

• Thierry Dombreval,  Renault marketing director and administrator of Alpine announces the possibility of the return of Alpine. " It is true, the idea to start again Alpine makes more than to tickle us ", recognizes Thierry Dombreval in Le Figaro. " We hesitate between two projects: one very top-of-the-range, the other in conformity with the spirit Alpine privileging the weight-power ratio. But whatever the adopted project, to develop it, it will be necessary to open the American market. "
  
  It seems that the recent Renault-Nissan contract answers this condition. The decision to start again Alpine could be made next at the beginning of July with highest of the Renault presidency.
  
  
• Indeed, Alpine has some good supports. " Alpine is attached to the direction of the Products and International Operations, itself attached to George Douin, assistant general manager of Renault SA and... ex-owner of the Berex ", notices Philippe Berrubé, Alpine general manager .   Louis Schweitzer confirms Renault has a project like the famous Alpine A110 and says he is for a project like this one...
  
  
• In some newspapers in France, we learn Renault Sport will have a range of 4 sport cars (Clio 2.0 16V, Clio V6 24V, Laguna Sport and a sport car giving the same concept than the Alpine A110 !).
  But, we learn the future name of this last sport car is Renault Sport. Renault Sport seems to forget the famous Alpine world !
  
  
• In march 2001, Louis Schweitzer, behind many problems of the Clio V6 and Avantime, has decided to stop all new developpement about Renault Sport. Some new adaptations seem to be expected for the Clio V6.
